The Last Jedi bluray came out last week and I made a bee-line for the documentary "The Director and the Jedi." This week I share some thoughts arising from the doc, especially the sheer scope of the production and the interpretive tension between Mark Hamill and Rian Johnson about Luke's headspace and mission.
I also give a few thoughts on the other special features, as well as some books and comics that I'm reading, and an awesome interactive Artoo toy that I got (and who makes some special appearances in this episode!). I also give some more two cents on Dave Filoni and his ability to bring coherence and continuity across media in Star Wars. To that end, I mention an awesome video of resonances between TLJ and the Original Trilogy. Watch it here!
