Had the chance this evening to attend Liberty Hill's Upton Sinclair Awards Dinner. It was amazing event, lots of prople there. It was really dope to hear from the folks doing the work on the ground, organizing, empowering people. The highlight of the evening though was hearing the speech and call to action from the Upton Sinclair Awardee, Congressman John Lewis. I was able to capture a part of what he said and how he encouraged us to "get in the way." Take a listen in. It's my hope for you to be moved and become a change agent in your community like I was. To know the history and story is one thing. Its whole other experience hearing it in person.✊🏾
