Get Up & Try Again
So when I was growing up in the my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA, there were a lot of people who had influence on me who had so much impact that I use the knowledge they shared with me to this day. One of them was my neighbor back in my days running in the Manchester streets on the Northside of the city. Her name was Ms. Les. Everyday except in the cold winters, she would be standing at the balcony of her porch pretty much all day, watching the block, chatting with friends and laughing at the children, me the most. I was always falling! New rollerblades, new skate board, climbing the tree out front my house, jumping the bannister on my porch...occasionally falling while doing any of those things. She’d always say though, “Get up and Try again!” A lesson that stuck with me all my life. Listen in and enjoy!
