Description

"There is no profit in a dead planet." - Suzy Hutomo has many feathers in her hat! She is a businesswoman, an environmentalist, a wife, a mother of 3 and a vlogger. She brought Bodyshop to Indonesia in 1992 with her husband. They built a lifestyle business, which is ethical and responsible. They have been committed to not only do good themselves, but also encourage and create an environment in their company, where the employees feel empowered to do so as well. Now, TBS has 148 stores across Indonesia and is known as one of the most sustainable cosmetic brands in Indonesia. She chaired Greenpeace South East Asia for 7 years and is now a board member. She is a representative of Al Gore Climate Change Project in Indonesia, a mentor for young entrepreneurs with Endeavor and runs her own blog/vlog - Sustainable Suzy, where she shares her experience of leading a green lifestyle.

In this podcast, we discuss with her topics ranging from women empowerment, her experience as a business pioneer in Indonesia and how each one of us can lead a sustainable and green life. She talks about how small actions by more people is worth much more than big actions by few people. Whether you are a young person looking for inspiration to start your own venture, a social entrepreneur wondering how you can make a sustainable impact, a young woman struggling to find your voice, a mother looking to inspire her kids to follow their dreams, a human being looking for ways to help the environment, then this podcast is worth listening to.
