In this episode, I speak with Chalé. She always had the deep intuition and knowing that she would be a mother who birthed her babies at home.
She tells me of her first, pretty straight forward pregnancy where she birthed at home with medical midwives and then she goes on to describe her decision to release her second pregnancy shortly after her first baby was born.
Upon becoming pregnant again, Chalé’s partner suggested to just birth the baby themselves and that opened up the territory of birthing her next children with only family present. Even after a brief separation from her partner, Chalé still made the choice to birth one of her babies at home and this time, no one was present to witness the experience.
Chalé describes how she had very uneventful and uncomplicated pregnancies and trusted herself throughout her swift birth experiences to bring her babies earth-side in such gentle and easeful ways.
