Hospice is a medical service that visits you in your home, providing assistance and care to patients and their family through a life-limiting illness. To receive hospice, you must qualify for and elect to receive this benefit which is covered by most insurance. The team of providers is comprised of many disciplines, including:

There are four levels of care delivered by hospice, and the type of care received by the patient depends on the patient's status and need.
