Description

My guest this week is Erin Dominick, a resilient woman who has transformed her life from dark and tumultuous periods to hopeful and healing. Erin has worked in healthcare for 17 years and lives a serene life in the mountains of Colorado with her husband and their fabulous dog and enjoys the company of her two grown boys and four grandchildren.

Your host is Janet Sandberg, a spiritual badass with over 35 years of metaphysical expertise. She’s a soul interpreter, reiki master teacher, divine channel, intuitive life coach, and author who helps you tap into your soul's wisdom in order to rebuild your life with meaning and purpose following major life transitions, loss, or suicidal ideation.

In this episode, Erin bravely shares her harrowing experiences with suicidal ideation, beginning at the age of 15. She recounts a near-fatal suicide attempt just days before her 16th birthday and the subsequent journey through mandated therapy that did not provide the relief she needed. Despite a brief period of improvement, Erin found herself back in a deep pit of despair at 19, grappling with the responsibilities of motherhood and an abusive marriage.

Erin's story is one of incredible resilience and incremental change. She talks about the small, yet significant steps she took to rebuild her life. Erin's dedication to helping others led her to develop a pain management program that addresses both physical and emotional pain, recognizing the profound connection between the two.

Through her work in occupational therapy, Erin has touched countless lives, offering hope and practical solutions to those suffering from chronic pain and suicidal thoughts. Her story is a powerful reminder that even in our darkest moments, we have the choice to take small steps toward a better future.
