Today we're hanging out with the creator, owner and head artist of Lucky Leaf Tattoo, Din Tran!
After opening in November 2022, Din has created the perfect space that is welcoming and comfortable with his upbeat spirt and great music playing in the background. Getting a tattoo shouldn't be intimidating or scary, and Lucky Leaf Tattoo fills that need in the industry to include everyone.
We're talking about Din's career history in the world of marketing, and how he transitioned into art and illustration with his own line, Dincao. From there, he slowly made the leap to the tattoo industry, and we chat about what the process of finding a tattoo apprenticeship is really like. After working with a couple local shops, Din decided it was time to open his own space. While walking to get ice cream, Din found the perfect spot up for lease, and the rest is history.
Today, Din's career has evolved from a fine line tattoo artist to also now a business owner of his very own brick & mortar space. We chat about what that transition was like, and what the future holds for Lucky Leaf.
