They discuss how Elvie loved music pretty much as soon as he was born and it's always been a part of his life. Growing up he started singing in church until high school when girls became a main priority. As he entered college he along with a couple of buddies formed a group called 88 and would play local bars. As they continue the conversation, Elvie discusses writing the hit "My Boy" which he co-wrote and ended up going #1. He also discusses how he took a break from music, being a preacher at 18, trying to convince himself he's either atheist or agnostic, getting his publishing and record deals, what he's got going on and what is to come for him.
