Today's message is a bold topic, but it's one we must talk about - because the world is full of promises that sound like hope but leave us empty when it matters most.
Jesus doesn't always remove or take away our crosses, but He walks under them with us. That my friends, is the difference between temporary relief and lasting redemption.
My challenge continues for you to grow in Christ and allot yourselves 5-10 minutes to complete these journal prompts:
1. Have you ever turned to a worldly "relief" that promised peace but left you more empty?
2. How has your view of Jesus changed over time - from religion to relationship?
3. What does it mean to you that Jesus walks under the weight of your cross with you?
4. Where do you see counterfeit light trying to replace true intimacy with God?
and finally,
5. Ask the Holy Spirit: "Where am I striving when I should be surrendering?"
