Part 1
Stress is something we all have to deal with.
If we don’t learn how to deal with it or manage the stress or uncomfortable things in our lives we can turn to alcohol.
Why can one person control their drinking & another one can’t?
You have a drink for the very first time & ‘All the lights go on’ & you get that alive for the very first time feeling.
Maybe you use alcohol to give you that lift?
If you are pushing those feelings down & numbing out you are numbing the good as well as the bad.
The brain quickly realises that the alcohol numbs out the stress & it likes that.
Alcohol gives us a massive artificial dopamine hit.
We get to a point where we not only want alcohol we need it.
We all have to find what works for us addiction is addiction.
There are lots of things to relieve stress other than drinking.
