Description

Join us in listening to our Wednesday night sermon as we explore Ephesians 5:1-16 and delve into the theme of walking in the light of Christ. The Apostle Paul encourages us to be followers of God as dear children and to walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself for us. We'll reflect on what it means to live a life that honors God, free from the works of darkness such as fornication, uncleanness, and covetousness. Instead, we are called to walk as children of light, bearing the fruits of the Spirit in goodness, righteousness, and truth.

We'll discuss the significance of light as a metaphor for God's presence and truth, contrasting it with the darkness of sin and deception. As Paul warns, we must not be deceived by empty words that lead to disobedience and provoke God's wrath. Instead, we are called to expose the works of darkness and live in a manner that proves what is acceptable to the Lord.

Drawing from Genesis 2:7, we'll reflect on how God breathed life into humanity, sanctifying and ordaining us for His purposes, as exemplified in Jeremiah 1:4-8 and Exodus 33:13-15. Just as God's presence was with His people in the Old Testament, so too does He promise to be with us today, guiding us and giving us rest.

In Galatians 4:19 and Job 33:4-6, we see the transformative power of God's Spirit, which forms Christ within us and gives us life. As we walk in the Spirit, we are empowered to overcome the lusts of the flesh, as highlighted in Galatians 5:16.

Join us as we explore these passages and discover practical insights on how to walk circumspectly, redeeming the time in these evil days. Let us awaken to the light of Christ, allowing His truth to illuminate our paths and guide us in living lives that glorify Him.
