Coming off my little 2 1/2 day camping trip, I jumped back into the studio chair to remind myself I ought to stay off social media while I'm on vacation. Why?
As a realtor, I'm always eyeing stories that impact that industry, and a WSB-TV piece by financial guru Clark Howard kinda rankled me. In it, he's sour on the latest crop of "no/low down payment" mortgage options, citing the 2008 housing crash. He's way off-base here, and I didn't mind calling him on it - much to the chagrin of some in my social media sphere.
Turns out a financial guru actually sort of agrees with my assessment: Clark Howard from April, 2023. Bloop.
Primary run-offs rarely bring out hordes of voters, and Tuesday's Georgia affair was no different; so I'm unsure why media speculation took off, but the AJC's Greg Bluestein went ahead and assessed that the state's "Democratic leaders" went "bust." I mean, okay.
Then again, is there reason to believe that the endorsement of Mayor Andre Dickens, Stacy Abrams and Rep. Nikema Williams are poison pills?
Midway into putting the podcast together I got confirmations that new Dekalb County CEO Lorraine Cochran-Johnson would be joining me next week; as will Libertarian party Presidential nominee, Atlantan Chase Oliver. Started getting some pushback immediately about the latter, but hear me out ... then hear him out next week.
