We all get discouraged and feel like the walls are closing in. We get distressed, discouraged, disappointed, and dismayed. When we are doing God's work and the right things and life is going in the opposite direction, it can be a very hard place to be. But today, this episode reminds us that we have a companion with us. He is the mighty companion, our God. He is with you like a mighty warrior; your persecutors will stumble and not prevail. The Lord, our companion, is with us, and we are in his presence. He will not cause us to go down. We will not be disgraced.
