Today’s Scripture:
Isaiah 55:12 NIV
You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
Living in a posture of joy means that in our going out and coming in, we have joy. The Scripture reminds us to go out in joy and be led forth in peace. That is crucial. When we submit to God’s leadership, we can go out in joy and be led in peace. The Bible reminds us, “The joy of the Lord is our strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10). When you posture in joy, you have strength; people who have joy are always upbeat, strong, and ready for action; where there is no joy, there is no strength.
Paul reminds us that hope, joy, and peace go together. A joyful posture brings hope and peace. You will overflow with joy; where there is joy, there is hope. It might look scary, but if you have a joyful posture, you will have hope and live in peace. Thus, Paul says, “Rejoice anyways,” it is not a suggestion, but it is a command; Paul says, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4 NIV).
Joy, peace, and hope go together. Do not lose your joy; have a posture of joy. See God in every situation, and rejoice always, like Paul says, because when you have joy, you have hope, and when you have joy, you have peace. The posture of Joy is one that the world needs to have today. Most people bear many burdens, but that is not what God wants. He wants his people to have a posture of joy because it gives us strength and leads us to peace.
Family, what is holding you back from rejoicing? Rejoice anyway; it is not a suggestion, but it is a command. Something good happens when we rejoice, life comes, burdens are lifted, and we see things better. Walk in Joy today, family, in a posture of joy that gives hope and leads to peace.
