Today’s Scripture:

Philippians 2:5 KJV‬

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

The first thing we must do to have the mind of Christ or a winning mindset is to let it and allow it to transform our lives. It's from a lifestyle not in submission to God to a life that is submitted to God. He won't stop until you look like him; God wants you to have a winning mindset; he wants you to look like him, and you look like him when you've embraced his mindset. You must represent the image of Christ in experience. Not in words.

If you are not transformed, the mind of Christ will never be in you. You will never have the mind of Christ or the winning mindset. Has Christ ever lost a battle? He's never lost anything. He's a winner; even in death, he was winning. The mind is so powerful that it controls everything about us. It has power over our flesh. It brings things into our lives or can keep things out.

Jesus has a winning mindset. He never said that there was anything that he could not do. He said all things are possible to them that believe. Our beliefs come from our mindset. What do you believe about you? What narrative are you living by? Is it a narrative of self-doubt and self-pity, self-loathing, or is it one of positivity, saying I can do all things through Christ?

Jesus had a selfless mindset, one of humility and obedience to God the Father. That's a winning mindset. You might be asking how this is a winning mindset. Paul would later show the Philippians how Jesus demonstrated this lifestyle through his humility. Jesus did not take advantage of his equality with God but humbled himself and became a servant even unto death on the cross.

You still say how is this a winning mindset? Because the cross was winning. Jesus's death on the cross was winning for us and him. He had a winning mindset. Without the cross we have no victory over death. The cross meant to kill was my victory. That's a winning mindset.

Family, we will have to do the hard things when it comes to a winning mindset, which means humbling ourselves, becoming obedient to Christ, and being selfless. It might mean going back to school, staying up late researching, reading books that you have never read before, linking up with people that you have nothing in common with, or sacrificing your life and time to win at what God has placed on the inside of you.

There's no winning without sacrifice. We discussed this yesterday, Jesus sacrificed his life to give us life. He sacrificed his life to win the battle against sin and allowed us to win and become winners. Embrace the mind of Christ; you will win if you stay obedient to his word and his principles. Agree with him and allow his ways to become your ways. Be selfless, humble, and obedient, and you will begin to have a winning mindset to overcome and conquer every challenge you face with God's grace. You are a winner!
