Today’s Scripture:
Psalm 46:10 (NIV)
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.
Google defines “STILL” as “a deep silence and calm”. A lioness, when hunting, will wait in a quite still position, waiting to pounce upon her prey. If she doesn’t remain quiet, the noise will drive the prey away.
The Psalmist says today, “Be still.” The enemy knows that human beings are easily distracted by noise around us. These noises come in the form of financial struggles, sickness, diseases, and joblessness. If we focus on the noise, it will drown us. It will destroy us, keep us distracted, unproductive, and unprofitable.
But we are reminded today to be still. When you're still in God, there's a peace that brings about a calmness that blocks the noise from penetrating you. It won't get into your spirit, and it won't cause you to panic. In your stillness, God is working it out; he is saying none that wait or call upon me will ever be ashamed nor forsaken.
Today, Family, Be still in God and let him fight for you. Shalom. Peace.
