There are many times when we want something from God, and we have prayed about it, and we cry about it and fast about it, and nothing happens. But God gave it to us, so what's the matter? Why is nothing happening or changing in our lives? We must fight for it! Take a step toward it, and it will be revealed that God has already delivered it into our hands. Faith will not produce anything independently except pairing it or attaching it to work.
So the Lord says to Joshua in our text, "See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands" That's good; we can rejoice about that because we know
that no Word from God ever fails... Luke 1:37 NIV
Or with God, all things are possible, which means it's already done in heaven, but in the earthly realm, we must now contend for it with the knowledge and
understanding that it's already mine. In the following verses, God gives Joshua directives to march around the city...
It will take work. No matter what we believe or think, it requires work. Are we willing to let Faith and works go together and deliver what God has
released for us in the heavens? Fight for it, take a step towards it, and take what belongs to you. It's yours. It's mine, God says; I have given you the city... Now take it.
