Today’s Scripture:

2 Corinthians 12:8-9 NIV‬

Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

I read the following a couple of weeks ago, and it got me thinking about my life and you, my life's happening family. How do we all feel a sense of inadequacy when we think of some of the things that God wants us to do, and we feel like me? God can't use me.  I'm not good enough; I'm not qualified; I don't have what it takes; I'm broken in so many places, and I've messed up so many times. But today, listen as I read a portion of this article that I read. I believe it will change your perspective and how you see yourself and think about your usability.

Family, though this pot was broken, it was usable. The imperfections, the pieces, the shame, the unwanted parts and experiences, God says is perfect, it's the way he wanted you and it's the way he chooses to use you. I want you to know that God can use you in spite of you. It's by his Grace.

You might have a crack, broken in certain areas, feel unworthy, unwanted, unusable, or even ashamed; the other people are better; they seem to be whole and have things together more than you. You are broken, but God wants you to know that your brokenness is your most usable contribution to his purpose and plan in your life. You might not think so, because it seems like a flaw, but you can be used in spite of you.

Family, your flaw is your beauty; change your perspective. The pot felt like he was useless; he felt like he was more of a problem than help to his owner, but the owner knew exactly what to do to use his flaw to produce beauty. Could it be that what makes you think you are not good enough is the very thing God wants to use to bring glory, honor, and praise to his name. People will see it and know that they too can be saved because your flaw makes you relatable, your not perfect but God can still use you.

Family Growth is taking place. God sees the things you don't see, and he is using your flaws to bring others into the kingdom and to bring you into your greatness. Lean into what you think is wrong with you; it might be what God uses to transform the world and even you.
