Description

Today’s Scripture:

Proverbs 28:13 NIV
Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.

Our Bible is full of God's mercy; no matter where you look in the Bible, God's mercy is present. The foundation of our salvation is based on God's mercy. The Bible says, "For God so love the world that he gave us his only begotten
son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). That's God's Mercy.

God's love is his mercy. His love causes us not to perish but to prosper and have everlasting life. That's prospering through mercy. Our text says, "Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy."

Adam and Eve showed us how to cover our sins; it is
human instinct to cover up our sins. It is the shame and the stigma of sin that causes us to run for cover to conceal it. We can hide our sins from others, but we cannot hide them from God, even though some of us think we can.

God wants you to prosper, and his mercy is your prosperity. He says that if you confess your sins and renounce them, that means disown them and reject them;
it's like giving up a title to land; you no longer own it. In doing this, you will prosper because you will have God's mercy, which equals prosperity.

Why does God's mercy equal prosperity? The text says that the one who conceals and hides their sins will not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces
their sins finds mercy. If unconfessed sins result in a lack of prosperity, then confessed sins lead to prosperity. God's mercy prospers us. You can rest assured that God has mercy for you today. He wants you to prosper and walk in
the prosperity of his mercy.
