There are times in life when the strongest of us get weak. Sometimes, we can be vital in one area of our lives, and then in another, we are experiencing weakness. If we are honest, we almost want to give up. I've been there, and it is as if all hope is lost because when strength is gone, praying is hard, reading the Bible is hard, and fasting is challenging.
Let the Lord be your Rock. In ancient times, rock was the prime element in ancient foundations, the things that buildings were made on, and it gave them their strength, stability, and durability.
The Lord is your Rock; he's your strength on which you can depend; he's our stability when things are shaking in our lives; he's our durability when we are weak and downcast. We can bounce back because the Rock gives us durability.
The Lord's my strength; he's my Rock. Listen when the walls fall around you; the Rock is still under you, holding you up. Stand on the Rock, Stand on Jesus.
