It is inevitable that we will fall. Falling should not make us afraid because if we are living, we will fall, we will fail, and we will have failures and disappointments, but the real problem is not falling but staying down when we fall. Our text tells us that, though the righteous fall seven times, the righteous, not the unrighteous, but the righteous, when the righteous fall, the word of God says to us, we will get back up. The Bible says they will rise again.
It didn't say they might Rise, but they will rise again. I am secure in the Word of God that I will rise again if I believe and trust God. There's a contrast in the text. He then says, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes. We are never down forever. The wicked will fall permanently, but we will live and rise repeatedly because God is our strength and shield. The Bible says there's a future hope for the righteous, and they will not be cut short (Proverbs 23:18).
David hit a low place in his life, but in this low moment when David was down and almost out, the Bible says, "David encouraged himself in the Lord" (1 Samuel 30:6, KJV). I will never be down forever or rise again, but sometimes I must encourage myself. Job loss, financial hardships, sickness in your body, about to give up, can't find a way out of where you live, and wanting better, you've got to make up your mind that you will rise again! Job said it this way, "Though he slay me, yet will I trust him" (Job 13:15, KJV).
You can never go down forever when God is with you. He promises that no matter how many times the righteous fall, they will get back up again. That's you; you will rise again. You are going to make it; you will rise again.
