Today’s Scripture:
2 Kings 6:1-2, 5 NIV
The company of the prophets said to Elisha, “Look, the place where we meet with you is too small for us. [2] Let us go to the Jordan, where each of us can get a pole; and let us build a place there for us to meet.” And he said, “Go.” Verse 5… As one of them was cutting down a tree, the iron axhead fell into the water. “Oh no, my lord!” he cried out. “It was borrowed!”
Looking at expansion and how the enemy tries to keep us locked into a small space... They said this space is too small for us. So they were trying to expand, they were trying to upgrade themselves but the enemy showed up. They had a perspective change and started to realize we can change where we are. But the enemy wanted them to stay boxed into their little corner.
It's fine when you accept where you are and never try to grow or expand but the moment you try to break out of the box and do something new in your life according to God's word and purpose for your life, here comes trouble here comes setbacks, here comes difficulties, here comes lack of resources, here comes delays....
It lets us know that they were already in need of some things and lacked resources. But now what was borrowed is broken. It just seems to get worse and worse sometimes, but because you've determined to change your life for the better it never gets easier it becomes more challenging because the enemy knows if you could change your life you would become of use to others and that makes you a threat to his kingdom, so he does everything possible to keep you restricted and bound up. But you need to declare out of your mouth today, it's already mine.
I might have to crawl, scratch, fight, push, fast, pray, go back to school, and rework what have got, but it's already mine, God's promises are yes and amen. It's time to expand and I will not be stopped because God sees me in the future and what he has for me I'm living in it, I'm driving it, I'm owning it, I'm creating it, it's already mine.
But you must determine to enforce the word of God and the promise of God. The moment you stop trying the enemy wins. We must determine that we are God's children and as such, we are heirs of the promise made to Abraham. It’s already Mine, It’s already yours.
