Today’s Scripture:
1 Chronicles 4:10 NIV
Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.
Have you wondered why you were created? Why are you here? Have you ever said there's got to be more? Is this all life has to offer? This is not all that I was made for? At the same time something inside you is saying more, more, more, you were made for More. It's called GREATNESS.
When your made for more there's a great fight. You've got to be ready for the fight that comes with being made for more. You have to deal with the hurt, the hate, and the setbacks. It's one of the indicators that you're born for more and made for more.
People seem to hate you for no reason, they seem to want to fight against your progress and they are way ahead of you. It's an indicator that you're made for more. Jabez the Bible says, cried out to the Lord, he cried out to the God of Israel and made a request from him. Family, there comes a point in your life when you pull yourself up by your bootstraps, cry out to God, and ask him for what's calling you on the inside. It’s called Greatness.
I mean, with a name like that, you are already an outcast and disdained by even your family members, no one wants to be around pain, or someone that makes them sorrowful. But the thing about Jabez is that he knew that he was made for more. He cried out to God because he knew that God could change his story.
He says to God, Do something about my situation; I was made for more. Where did this come from when everything around him pointed to pain? You might be the person that everyone overlooks and forget about and you're wondering when will I get a chance. Why is my life like this where I seem unable to make any progress. I have the answer for you, you a made for more. You'll never feel satisfied until you cry out to God and demand that he change your story.
I must admit I have been Jabez, and I'm sure many of you have been and are also wondering why, but the answer to this is that God made you for more, so you must realize this and wake up and call upon the Lord and demand more from God. Regardless of what they call you what people say about you and who thinks you're not going anywhere, one response from God will being you from the back to the front.
Jabez cried out to the Lord, you will have to do the same. Cry out to the Lord, demand that he respond, and change your story because you were made for more.
