Today’s Scripture:
Hebrews 8:12 KJV
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, And their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
The enemy's accusations are to wipe us out. But in the court of God, we have a defense system. It's called the blood of Jesus. And that blood is the mercy of God. His Mercy is my defense.
The Bible says in today's text, "For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.” This is beautiful. This is life-changing because I deserved the wrath of God. I deserved to be dead, to be punished, to be cast out of the garden. But now, because of the blood of Jesus and his mercy, which is my defense, I have life and covered.
I'm not defenseless, I'm not abandoned, I'm covered under the mercy of God, who defends me and gives me another chance to get it right. May the hand of the Lord come quickly to your defense from the accusations of the enemy.
God doesn't only defend us with mercy, but he says I will remember them no more. That's the defense of God's mercy that wipes away our blemishes and offenses through God's mercy, which is our defense system. God's mercy is my lifeline. Without His mercy, we have no forgiveness of sin.
David said in Psalm 51:1, “Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: According unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.” David here had sinned and deserved to die. But he remembered His defense system in God and cried out to God for mercy. And he said, according to your loving kindness and the multitude of thy tender mercies, wipe away my son, my transgressions. He knew that the mercy system was his defense and that it was abundant for him.
Family, you have this dame defense system at your disposal. The Lord's Mercy is your defense system. No matter what you've done, His mercy is available. No matter how the enemy accuses you, friends accuse you, or people you don't even know accuse you, mercy is your defense.
Come boldly before the throne of grace so that you may receive mercy and find grace for help in the time of need, Hebrews 4:16. That's your right; God's mercy is your defense. You are never without His defense. Don't defend yourself, let the mercy of God defend you.
