It's overwhelming to be in a boat or a ship and to have this type of wind and waves so that it fills up the ship. Life can feel like that sometimes. It seems like our ship is full of water, and we are about to go down. The cares of this life can be like the strong winds out on the ocean, causing us to veer off course. And when the winds get through with us, here comes the waves... It's one thing after another, and we are tired, weary, and overwhelmed.
In these times, we must always remember to call on Jesus. The Bible lets us know that the disciples, in this state of panic and overwhelmedness, called on Jesus. Jesus responded and helped them.
Overwhelmed? Give it to Jesus, call on him; he will deliver because He speaks to winds and waves, and they listen. So, your circumstances must listen to him also.
Family, rest in the God who speaks peace into our lives; he is with us. Overwhelmed? He knows, He cares, He's got you, and He will deliver.
