Today’s Scripture:
Matthew 6:33 NIV
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Abraham sought the Lord, and God blessed him. He was so blessed that he became the father of many nations. God added unto him. David sought the Lord and served him, and God gave him the throne and blessings, wealth, and riches. I mean, David lacked nothing as king. He had a heart for God, and he sought God, and God added to him.
Joseph, yes, went through some things that were hard for him, but he remained faithful, and God added to him. He was elevated to the highest position in Egypt; only Pharaoh was higher than him. He was so rich and blessed with favor that he was able to save his entire family. That is God adding to him and blessing him for seeking him.
Additions may come in the form of favor, a job, a new house, a second chance to live after a cancer diagnosis, a new child, or a new career; additions come in many different ways. God wants to add to you, but you must seek him first, prioritize God, and he will give you the additions.
God’s additions are his benefits to us:
Here are some of the benefits; they are his additions to us.
Who forgives all thine iniquities;
Who heals all thy diseases;
Who redeemed thy life from destruction; Who crowned thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
Who satisfies thy mouth with good things; So that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Money cannot buy these; many want them but don't have them. These are the additions, and God wants you to have them, family.
What do you need from God? Tell him, seek him, and watch him provide what you need.
