Today’s Scripture:
Hebrews 11:3 NIV
By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
Creation ex-nihilo, how God created the universe out of nothing! He taught us from the very beginning that nothing is something! It's the breathing ground for creativity and productivity! Ex-nihilo is a Latin word meaning "from nothing." Therefore, creation ex-nihilo speaks of God creating everything out of nothing. He started from scratch, with nothing.
God didn't have any building blocks to start with—he started with Nothing! There were no pillars and beams—he started with nothing! Nothing is a place of creativity. When you find yourself with nothing, it's not a time to become depressed; it's a time to tap into your goodness, your greatness. You were created in the image and likeness of God. Thus, you have the capacity to create something out of nothing.
Family, God is a God who can take your nothingness and make something great out of it!
Family, in your lack, your nothing, your not enough, God wants you to see that you're at the right place where something unique and great can occur. It's the place where miracles and creativity collide, producing destiny and greatness. Nothing becomes an opportunity for your creativity!
By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth (Psalms 33:6 NIV). God's creativity comes from his mouth, and out of his nothingness, he speaks, and everything comes forth. We have an amazing opportunity when we are faced with nothing because creativity is birthed when nothing is present.
I encourage you to see the value of nothing. It's the bedrock of creativity. I encourage you to look at your nothingness as a blessing, a gift from God to become something Great!
