Today’s Scripture:
Psalms 27:1 NIV
The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?
David wrote this Psalm when he was facing threats from his enemies. He wrote it to show his confidence in God in the face of trials and adversity. He says the Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear, then he says the Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?
He's asking rhetorical questions because God is in the question, he's answering his question and it doesn't requires another answer, God is. The moment he says that the matter is already settled. Who's God to you family comparing to what you're facing?
It was this same David who says in Psalm 23:1 the Lord is my shepherd I lack nothing! Family, you will not lack when the Lord is. That's the key component, the Lord is, as long as the Lord is, you will always have enough, you will lack nothing, family. You must trust God so that you can overcome all the fears and trials that you will face in your life.
David says, whom shall I fear because the Lord is my salvation. It's funny how fear always comes with trials and with hardship. But David showed confidence in God being his salvation, his Savior, his protection, he will not fear. Family, I know the finances are tight but God is...
The Lord is, he is our stronghold, which means he's our place of refuge and strength. Family David says God is the stronghold of his life, today make God the stronghold of your life, your place of refuge and strength. Trust him and rest assured that he's with you in the trials and darkness that you're facing. Light is coming and salvation is yours because the Lord is.
