Hebrews 10:23 NIV
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
A lot of things are shaking around us. We are at a time in history where it seems like everything is shaking... Jobs, churches, politics, the economy, families, health, finances. Everything is shaking.
In times like these, it's hard to maintain our faith and hope in God. It's hard to trust him. However, while everything around us is shaking, the writer of Hebrews gives us something to hold on to unswervingly, he says to hold to the hope we profess unswervingly. This is a great charge, but why can we hold on to this hope, this Faith? We can hold on to our hope because of the person who promised it. God. He is a promise keeper. He will never let you down.
We can trust in hope even in a world with everything shaking except for our faith because the one who promised us this hope is faithful. This was proven through our father of faith, Abraham, the Bible said, in Romans 4:18-21 NIV.
Abraham believed in God he did not waver in unbelief regarding the promise of God. Family, having unshakable Hope in this season means that we trust God to keep his word, we trust God that what he says shall come to pass. In addition, we must be fully persuaded that God has the power to do what he said. That's unshakable Faith!
Family, we must be convinced that our hope is not found in our abilities because that's shakable, but it's knowing that it's grounded in someone greater, Jesus Christ the son of the living God.
More than ever we must choose to trust and cling to hope in God even when things are tough. This is where we are made when we can trust God when everything is going in the opposite direction in our lives than we want them to. God's faithful to his promises family. We can trust him with unskable faith because His past faithfulness is a guarantee of His future faithfulness. Let us remain hopeful family and trust the faithfulness of our God and his character, he remains unchanging and he remains faithful.
