Today’s Scripture:

‭Isaiah 40:8 KJV‬

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Words are so important that when babies say something, or make a little sound, we get so hyped about it...everyone is excited and recording it and posting it… Even fathers get competitive with their wives. Oh, he or she said my name first...so if the baby says something that sounds like “Dadda…” oh, she said “Dadda,” even if the baby is saying, “Dummy, I don't want that incipit food you're feeding me,”... Oh she said Dadda. Lies...

Words sometimes fail to capture the essence of what we want to say. But there's a word that speaks for us, and that's more than enough. The Bible says in the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God (John 1:1). When Hannah was so desperate and weak because she wanted a child, her words failed, but she tapped into the spirit realms. Sometimes, words are not enough. Words fail.

But the word himself speaks for us. Jesus is the word. The word intercedes for us before the Father; that's all he does because he knows that our words will not be enough and that they will fail.

Sometimes, we want to say how awesome God is, but the only words we have in the English language are inadequate to capture the awesomeness of God. We say he's glorious, he's majestic, he's supernatural, he's great, her still words fail us. God cannot be captured in our words, so he says, I am the life spring, the water for the thirsty, the word that satisfies your soul. I will be in you and everlasting well, springing up. You will never thirst again.

When words fail, the Word is enough; he will never fail. His word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my pathway. His word is enough. His Word helps me to live a life that brings glory and honor to his name. He exalts his word above his name. The word is so important that Jesus says, the words I speak are spirit, and they are life. In other words. If you have this word, you will have life.

Family, turn to the word today, turn to Jesus when words fail you, two into the word and seek him; you'll find him, and he will satisfy your hunger and thirst. We are not meant to be without the word. We were made for the word. And this is when our words fail. We can run to him, Jesus, the Word who never fails. Family, trust God today and trust in his word. He will never fail you.
