Description

How's your sweet tooth? Most people enjoy a delectable dessert now and again, but hidden sugars are ruining the American way of life. On average, the typical adult eats more than 50 grams of sugar a day - that twice as much as recommended (25 grams). Soda, processed foods, canned fruits, dressings, sauces, crackers, breads, protein bars and more all have added sugars.

It's hard to go cold turkey on sugar, but you can cut back gradually. This episode will offer up starting points relative to eating breakfast, stocking your pantry and reading labels, managing your nightly dessert habit, cutting the sugar in your daily coffee or tea and understanding that hidden sugar is a sweet marketing tool that can create havoc in our bodies.

Choose smart foods and have a sweet every now and again - your body will thank you.
