In this episode Bhakti Lalita tells the epic wisdom story of the Brahmana Avadhūt Dattatreya's 24 gurus — the earth, wind, sky, water, fire, moon, sun, pigeon and python; the ocean, moth, bumblebee, elephant and beekeeper; the deer, the fish, the prostitute Piṅgalā, the hawk and the child; the young maiden, an arrowsmith, serpent, spider, wasp — and additionally a 25th guru which is his own body. This profound and ancient story, a conversation between the greatly powerful King Yadu and the brāhmaṇa Avadhūt named Dattatreya, originates in Sanskrit and is sourced from several different translations and interpretations, including that of Srila A.C. Bhakti Vedanta Swami Maharaj Prabhupada.
