Roy Nassau joined Marriott International after graduating from Penn State.
Starting as a restaurant manager trainee Roy moved through the organization. He worked in his first 25 years in Food and Beverage as F&B Director at the Orlando World Center Marriott.
Then on to a regional VP of Operations role before becoming General Manager at the Orlando Airport Marriott. Roy then was promoted to Area VP Franchise Operations.
After 44 years in the hospitality business, Roy Nassau retired from Marriott International in 2020. After all those years dealing with thousands of people; employees, bosses, business owners and guests, Roy has developed some keen insight and understanding about people.
Most notably that many people can say and do things that are annoying, irritating, and illogical. In need of a way to call out this delusional behavior, he coined the term PAFU – People Are F*cked Up.
He has since created PAFU Nation and completed the book on the subject. Roy wants to share his insight and expertise to help people see PAFU behavior so they can mitigate it to make working and living together more enjoyable.
