Republic is not defined by what we see, history decides that how countries are shaped. As India is approaching its 77th Independence day, we thought why not to jump and tell people the story of India.
So we launched a series of episodes, discussing decade wise the events that shaped India.
In this episode we discuss the era of 1950s. As we cannot discuss all the incidents, so in this episode of this series we focus on major events:
Constituent Assembly
Enactment of constitution, 26 January, 1950
Conduct of 1st elections 1951-52
Reorganization of states
Formation of 1st CPI government in 1957 and imposition of President rule
