Description

Most of us plan our vacations more carefully than we plan our aging. This Wednesday for National Family Caregivers Month, we're sitting down with Sharon Peska and Mary Ann Buckley, two Licensed Social Workers with over 45 years of combined experience working with older adults and families, to talk about why that has to change.
Sharon and Mary Ann have worked in hospitals, nursing homes, hospice, and geriatric care management. They've sat with thousands of families at their absolute breaking points, and they've noticed a pattern: the ones who planned ahead suffered less. A lot less.
We're covering the conversations nobody wants to have but everyone needs to: from how to talk to your parent about their needs, to what information needs to be shared before a crisis, to why a Care Manager might be your secret weapon for aging in place. Plus, how to stay connected and engaged when isolation creeps in, and how to choose the right senior community when the time comes. This is the roadmap for families ready to move from denial to action.
