Tyrell Osborne, professionally known as, Tru Osborne, is a master creative passionate about building safe spaces for creatives to grow. He is an accomplished vocalist, curator, educator, coach, and community leader with a mission to activate creativity in every life and organization he encounters.
Tru Osborne was born in Harlem, NY, a mecca for creativity and entrepreneurship. By unlocking his creative passions at the young age of three, Tru has spent the majority of his life pursuing creative mastery throughout multiple disciplines and art forms. In High school, he received a vocational diploma for gifted students in Graphic Design from the NYS Blue Ribbon School, Saunders Trades & Technical High School in Yonkers, NY. In college, He graduated with honors obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a concentration in Vocal Performance from the nation's oldest HBCU, Cheyney University of Pennsylvania. Most recently, Tru has continued to strengthen his creative proficiency by receiving a Master of Arts in Creative Media and Technology with a specialization in Songwriting and Production, in the first graduating class of Berklee School of Music's pioneer program for music visionaries at the historic Powerstation Studios in New York City.
Professionally, Tru has been seen performing with national and international legends such as WizKid @ MSG, LL Cool J for the Homecoming Concert in Central Park, Cory Henry and The Live in Love Foundation at historic venues like SOB's and NUBLU, and with his own band System Overload at Rockwood Music Hall. Tru is a well-respected musician and creativity coach working with artists from multiple industries, diverse backgrounds, and a long list of proficiencies. His impact as a creative voice has even reached abroad to places like India and The Caribbean through partnerships with global broadcasts, public speaking opportunities, and live performances.
Tru began this program as a way to show urban communities the power of creativity as a vital aspect of community development and to end the continuation of the "starving artist" experience across the world. Tru is critically aware of the need for support in this endeavor to heal the world with creativity and is a huge believer in collaboration. He is grateful for the support of his many mentors and takes great pride in receiving unconditional encouragement from his family and friends. He is the husband of soul care coach and social media influencer, Belraye Osborne, and the father of two beautiful children, Titan & Thunder. Tru Osborne has lived in East New York, Brooklyn for five or more years and looks forward to continuing his impact as a creative leader in his community.
