Description

The ASK THE GIRLS! episodes are back with two new
moderators from the Washington, D.C. area, which locals call the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia).

Samara, 12, and Shylah, 11, are sisters who attend DC Prep Middle School, the top public charter school in the nations
capital.

Cynthia Howie, a Maryland teacher who also plays a key role in the Adult Bible Study at First Baptist Church of Glenarden International, is pinch hitting as co-host until Charisse Henrys sabbatical ends. She brings a wealth of knowledge
and talent to the episode.

As with the other episodes, the girls shared
scripture.

Samaras favorite is Psalm 37:24:

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For theLordupholdshim withHis hand.

Shylahs
scripture is Luke 6: 46-48:

And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the
things which I say? 47Whosoever cometh to me, and
heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: 48He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

Are you familiar with the 10 Commandments? The girls talked about the law that they find to be the hardest to keep. Which is your favorite 10 Commandment and which is your least favorite? Remember, regardless how we feel about them, we must obey them as best we can.

The segment Yay or Nay focused on honesty. Listeners, we
encourage you to weigh in on the two scenarios that Shylah and Samara tackled. Send us an email at wordconsultingllc@gmail.com and share how you would handle the situations.

The movie discussed in this episode was Hocus, Pocus 2 with
popular actresses Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy. Although its a supernatural themed movie about witches featured during Halloween, the girls and hosts found positive aspects and Christ-centered messages. Tell us if you agree!
