Pastor Ronnie D. Simmons of the nondenominational House of Faith Christian Center in Smyrna, Tennessee gives practical, Holy-Spirit led advice on what it means to depend on God. As the first guest of the Emunah podcast, he uses John 14: 1, 6 to focus attention on God's son Jesus. The Bible tells us that we must believe on Jesus Christ before we can begin to depend on God.
Pastor Simmons says there are six things we need to believe about Jesus:
1. Believe "who" He is. Colossians 1: 13-17.
2. Believe in what He taught.
3. Believe what He commanded. John 13: 34-35.
4. Believe His promises. John 14:12.
5. Believe what He did for us on the cross (He saved, cleansed and washed us).
6. Believe what He's doing for me right now. Romans 8: 31-39.
