Matthew 6-7 | Secret Devotion & The Two Foundations | The Narrow Way
"‘But seek first the reign of Elohim and His righteousness, and all these shall be added to you.’" Complete the Master’s foundational teaching in Mattithyahu 6 and 7, moving from secret prayer to the unshakeable foundation.
About This Reading In this episode, we conclude the Sermon on the Mount. This narration utilizes The Scriptures 2009 (ISR) translation. In this reading, we honor the set-apart Names of our Creator and His Messiah, speaking 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) and YAHUSHA as the Spirit gives utterance.
These chapters provide the practical application of Kingdom living:
Chapter 6: The Secret Walk. The Master instructs on giving, prayer (The "Avinu" prayer), and fasting—all to be done in secret. He then tackles the "eye" and the "heart," warning against the anxiety of material needs and the service of Mammon.
Chapter 7: The Discernment of the Way. This chapter covers right-ruling (judging), the "Golden Rule," and the warning of the Narrow Gate. It culminates in the terrifying reality that not everyone who says "Master, Master" enters the Kingdom, but only those who do the desire of the Father.
We aim to decrease so that the wisdom of the Master and the provision of the Name 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 may be the focus of your meditation.
Key Highlights:
Focus: Overcoming Anxiety, The Fruit of the Prophet, and the Wise Man vs. the Foolish Man.
Translation: The Scriptures 2009 (ISR).
Narration: Pure Scripture, no commentary.
How to Use This Episode: Listen to these chapters when you feel distracted by the opinions of others or weighed down by "the cares of this life." Chapter 6 is a shield against anxiety, while Chapter 7 is a mirror for your spiritual fruit. Use the final parable of the two builders to audit the "soil" of your current life.
