Hey ATA Listeners, you know how villains are characters that we love to hate because we despise the fact that they can stay one step ahead of the hero but love it when they force that same hero to reach new heights by setting up a search for their long-lost father or forcing them to unlock a hidden telepathic ability? Well, this week on television it seemed that every villain in the book raised their ugly head as the evil Mayor took steps to destroy a romance on Once upon a Time, Castle contended with a betrayal from someone he trusted, Alcatraz unleashed an inmate who tried to gas an entire subway train and that damn sneaky Elias from Person of Interest proved that even Wall Street isn't safe from his criminal empire.
However, the title of most dastardly villain for the week would have to go to Fringe's David Robert Jones as he proved that he is capable of things much more sinister than kidnapping blonde female FBI Agent's out of weird places like gas station bathrooms. On that note, our sitcoms didn't even escape acts of villainy as Howard on The Big Bang Theory had a fateful encounter with a crazed armadillo and Modern Family featured Luke setting up a vile trap to bring Lilly down. Again, with all this talk about villains you're probably scared that bad guys will be coming after you while listening to this podcast but don't worry Nico and I will ease your fears as we give you reviews on the emergence of villains that seemed to occur during this week in television. Plus to make you feel even better we will even throw in an extended discussion on Fringe because yes, the episode was that great.
