Casting news for comic book movies is always something that gets people talking. Last week, Warner Bros. announced that Ben Affleck had been officially cast as the next actor to portray Bruce Wayne/Batman in Zack Snyder's as-yet-untitled Superman and Batman movie that will come out on July 17, 2015.
On this installment of ATA Special Edition, Andy Behbakht is joined by his co-host from Helicarrier: The S.H.I.E.L.D. Podcast, Chris Doucher and special guest Jake Lester (who is a Feature Entertainment Editor and Senior Writer for Comic Book Therapy) to discuss their thoughts about Affleck's casting and the reaction that it has gained.
While on the subject of casting for comic book films, they also discuss their brief thoughts on the two latest Marvel castings: James Spader as the villain Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy.
