Show Notes
- - Host: Dan Hugo
- - Summary: Failure is always an option, despite what you may have heard about Apollo 13, but it is not always something people consider as they begin a journey down the road of entrepreneurialism.
Ideas and Pitches
- - Having ideas is critical, whether you are an entrepreneur starting a business or merely entrepreneurial tackling pain points
- - Describing your idea is a first step toward making it happen
- - Turning that description into a story comes next
- - Telling the story in the form of a pitch in front of an audience is where we come in
Wantrepreneurialism
- - Are you entrepreneurial, or do you **want** to be?
- - Critical are having an idea and a desire to pursue it
- - This desire must come from within, it cannot be FOMO
- - If you want it, but don´t have it, are you more or less likely to fail?
Failing
- - Ideas are critical, but still is accepting that it might be a bad one
- - Even a good idea can turn into a bad one, or it may come down to many other factors
- - Knowing that failure is a possibility is important
- - Accepting that failure is *likely* is critical
Food Truck App Example
- - An actual example of a real idea-first effort
- - Failure was not considered until much later in the timeline
- - Things like existing competitors already established, the lack of a team (solo!)
- - House fire and Global Pandemic did not even enter consideration, until they did.
