As God gives Moses the two stone tablets with His law He lets him know that His people have failed Him once again and have made and are worshiping an idol. Made of metal. Moses goes down to meet his people and when he observes that they failed the Love of God, he breaks the tablets in front of them. In Deuteronomy 9:18 we find "Then, as before, I lay prostrate before the LORD for forty days and forty nights; I ate no food, I drank no water, because of all the sin you had committed in the sight of the LORD, doing wrong and provoking him."
Today God is asking you, how do you intercede for your brothers and sisters? When Moses sees that his people have strayed from the path deifying a material object, he appeals against the wrath of God who contemplates exterminating them and bows down at the feet of the one and only true God, advocating for them one more time. This action of bowing down or prostrating is a symbol of respect, submission, adoration and prayer. Moses does not confront the Israelites nor walks away from them with shame, abandoning them to their fate, but chooses to repair for his community in the same way that they decided to betray God's Love and God Glorifies in this offering of faith and forgives them once again. In certain way, Moses with his action moves the hand of God and lets his mercy flow towards his brothers and sisters. Today God also wants us to recognize Him as our only true God and to advocate for our brothers and sisters keeping our eyes on His mercy and always acting from His Love.
May the Lord open our hearts to His eternal Love 🙏💕🕊️
