Ezekiel, whose name means "Whom God makes strong" comes from a lineage of priests, lived and prophesied in the exile, announcing a promising future for Israel but not before denouncing the false hopes and ideologies to which his companions clung. God communicates with Ezekiel through visions guiding and urging him to make amends for His people through fasting and giving him the strength to endure humiliation and hostility from hiscompanions. Ezekiel 4:6 tells us "When you have finished these last ones, you will lie down again on your right side, and you will bear the guilt of the house of Judah for forty days. I have given you one day a year."
Today God is asking you to pray or offer a sacrifice for your brothers and sisters, especially those who are far away or feel abandoned by God. God asks Ezequiel to bear the guilt of the people of Judah, urging him to show his faith in public, doing things like tying himself with ropes, sleeping on one side, eating and drinking rationed food and at specific times... but the most important thing is that God does not leaves him alone but grants him the strength to carry out his mission. And so he is in charge of keeping the faith of the people alive, encouraging them to trust God in the midst of trials, letting them know that God does not abandon them, but wants to prepare and purify them for their own good, to give them new life and fill them with blessings. Today God wants to do the same with you, give you strength and use you as a liberating instrument that makes His Love and Mercy known, especially to those who feel marginalized or rejected. May the Lord open our hearts to His Eternal Love 🙏💕🕊️
