I've learnt that people often mistake "unhappiness" for "depression" and the fact that these two illness are often used interchangeably is totally wrong. When you're faced with depression its oftentimes associated with people who aren't healed from trauma. Depression is when you're tired of life, when you don't see any reason to live and I'm here to say that it is not true. You definitely need to shift your perspective on life. I know it's easier said than done and I'm not a hypocrite, I have experienced depression and trauma and still recovered from it.
