Now I’d explain how this beliefs came into existence, gnosticism was introduced by the Porto-Orthodox Christians, these Porto-Orthodox Christians introduced the new testament view about Jesus. They believed that there is only one God but existing in 3 persons which is the (trinity) God the Father, God the Son & God the Holy Spirit. This is the kinda Christianity we practice today, so they believed that there’s a bridge between mortals and spirits (physical & spiritual), as though it can be heightened too.
