Dr. Yalda T. Uhls is a distinguished figure in the fields of media, psychology, and education. As the founder and executive director of the Center for Scholars & Storytellers (CSS) at UCLA, she leads pioneering efforts to bridge the gap between social science research and media creation, with a focus on enhancing the portrayal of adolescents in media. Dr. Uhls' multifaceted career has seen her serve as a movie executive at MGM and Sony, earning her an MBA and Ph.D. from UCLA along the way. Now, as an assistant adjunct professor at UCLA, she applies her expertise in the science of media and adolescent development to educate and inspire the next generation.
