In honor of Mother's Day, in today's episode I talk about the cultural responsibility we have as mothers and I share my perspective as a Black mother. I name why I believe we have a responsibility and why it is important to take this responsibility seriously. You should take a listen, this is it's a great episode. For the cultural tidbit section I encourage listeners to look up several books that are geared towards African-American children. 1) Enough by Grace Byers 2) Brown Sugar Babe by Charlotte Watson Sherman 3) Sulwe by Lupita Nyong'O 4) When God Made You by Matthew Paul Turner.
