The moments of suffering often come right before a moment of clarity

Sheena T.

Hello friends, and welcome back to another episode of the Lifestyle of the Weird and Interesting Podcast!

This could be considered a heavier episode, and we hope you can get something out of our discussion about this complicated topic around different types of family dynamics.
Today, we are talking about the difference in relationships between your given blood family vs. your chosen family, the people you choose to keep in your life for one reason or another that you feel closest to, sometimes closer than your blood family or family of origin. We touch on topics of reaction vs. response, trust, and privacy between your chosen family and family of origin, the benefits of having a chosen family, showing gratitude and appreciation, and much more.
Chosen family: Made up of people who have chosen intentionally to embrace, nurture, love, and support everybody regardless of relation.
Blood family, or family of origin: the basic unit in society traditionally consisting of two parents rearing their children.
If you're going to take away anything from this episode, please share with your blood family and/or chosen family how much you love them, how much they mean to you, and how they make your life better.
